CALL FOR ENTRIES/PROSPECTUS

Exhibition: February 10-March 10, 2019

Eligibility and Guidelines: Open to all contemporary living visual artists. Under 18 years old must have a signed release by a parent or guardian. All 2 Dimensional original artwork must have been completed in the last 5 years. ie: paintings, drawings or photographs. Sorry, no sculptures. Exhibiting artists are not required to be Jewish, but the subject matter should be apropos to the focus of the exhibit's contents of Jews and Rock N Roll music.

Images submitted must accurately represent actual artwork or the artwork will not be exhibited. Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the exhibition. There is no fee for submitting images. Follow these steps for submission:
1. Prepare your digital files (as defined below).
2. Provide contact information including your name, mailing address, email address and phone number.
3. Email up to three (3) unique artworks with their title, size and medium. Make sure you have prepared and saved all your digital image files on your computer as follows:
- Set your image size to 300 dpi
- Name your file as follows: Artist's last name, first initial and letter of entry
(all separated by a dash: For example: smith-j-a.jpg)
- Save your file as a jpg file extension
- Check to make sure that your file is not over 3 megabytes

Deadline for receipt of accepted work (hand-delivered or shipped): Sunday, February 3, 2019 Note: work may be shipped and received any time before this deadline to: Brooklyn Jewish Art Gallery c/o Fred Polaniecki 135 Eastern Parkway Suite 5i Brooklyn, NY 11238. If you need to hand deliver work on a different day before February 3, please email to make arrangements and to ensure that someone will be available to receive your work.

Opening Reception: Sunday, February 10, 1-5 PM

Exhibition closes: Friday, March 10, 1PM
Pick up of hand-delivered work:
Sunday, March 10, 1PM-3PM.
Return of shipped work: Monday, March 11, 2019

Liability: All work will be handled with the utmost care. However, The Brooklyn Jewish Art Gallery does not carry insurance for your work and will not be responsible for loss or damage. Entering the exhibition releases The Brooklyn Jewish Art Gallery and its representatives from personal liability or claims. Acceptance of work implies your consent for The Brooklyn Jewish Art Gallery to use your name and images of your art in any of its advertising and publicity in print or online for promotional purposes only.

Presentation InstructionsAll accepted work must be professionally presented. Artwork should be framed with a hanging wire. No saw tooth hangers. Paintings may be gallery wrapped (with 1.5 inch edges) without additional framing. All accepted work must be display ready. Use plexiglass only unless items are to be hand delivered. Artists are responsible for shipping or conveying their own work to and from the exhibit. Work is limited to 60″ in any direction and should not weigh more than 40 lbs.The Brooklyn Jewish Art Gallery or its representatives will not be held responsible for artwork that is not picked up promptly and on time. Storage space is unavailable after the exhibit. Please pick up or arrange for your artwork to be removed at the designated times.
